Really cool! My dad got me hooked on LOTR when I was young. I saw the animated version of it (1978) and of the Hobbit! We were so pysched Peter Jackson made the trilogy but they had to leave alot out so it’s really cool to see more of the book on film. Thanks so much!

What type of camera did they shoot this with? The lighting was subtle, the sound
design excellent. Loved the cave scene, the deserted woods, the camera work, and editing. Barbara Davis, Zephyr Productions

Awesome! I think you guys should have filmed the whole LOTR story. This short clip had more the feeling of Tolkien’s world than the high budget film itself. Tolken’s novel is the kind of story where foreshadowing the unknown, some homely storytelling in front of a blazing campfire and good actors can do more than all the hi-tech animations Hollywood has – and those are the very qualities the original moovie was missing.

@jmorris6758 Not true lol. I’ve seen some of the best movies on Youtube or Hulu that were free…and legal lol. 100 Girls, in fact is one of my favorite movies. Most of these movies have either small-time actors, B-movie actors, or big actors playing supporting roles (as in this one). A movie just needs a good plot and some good acting…not neccesarily big actors (which there are a lot of suck films with Hollywood actors).
September 18th, 2010 @9:56 pm
if the movie is free on youtube, either its really old or just plain sucks….
September 18th, 2010 @10:01 pm
Actually a pretty good movie.
